It would take me 4 pages to give you all of the reasons to not move to The Fairways at South Shore but I will try to keep it brief as possible::: RATS, RATS, RATS is the number one reason! We lived with rats for about 3 years with no concern from the apartment management at all. Our dog killed 5 rats in a 2 month period. That is not including the ones that were stuck on the sticky traps that the pest control used to "control" the rat situation. Also, not including the ones we caught eating our dog food out of their bowl or the one that jumped on my husband when he opened the hallway closet. Funny they wanted to charge us for some things when we moved out, however, they did not charge us for where the carpet was damaged where the nest of rats lived in the 2nd bedroom or to clean and dispose of the rat feces that was behind the washer and dryer, in the 2nd bedroom, and in the hall closet. They also never reimbursed us for the 3 times that we had to completely throw away everything in our pantry because it was covered in rat feces!!! There are so many other complaints but for now I will post this one (along with some pictures) on here and apartment ratings as well. I took pictures of the piles of rat feces and the damages the rat's caused and also the dead rats that we found (or live ones) and also the rats that our dog killed. It was absolutely filthy and disgusting and every time we called to complain (on a weekly basis, at least!) they just acted aggravated and annoyed with our problem. We even called and spoke with Lisa, the "Property Supervisor" for the management company and she had no follow up to let us know that the situation was resolved. Therefore, I will publish the pictures and all accounts of our life at The Fairways at South Shore. Check the reviews on apartmentratings. On top of all the management and maintenance issues,
they keep your deposit even if you move out with no damages, then you have to spend 7 months waiting
your turn in JP court to get it back.

The Fairways @ South Shore was the worst experience. Better hope your air conditioner does not break. Their maintenance man is a joke, he could never get ac below 80 degrees for 3 weeks and was told by manager they would not seek a professional or compensate for rent. This was in July. Im not a complainer but this was totally unacceptable. I have lived in plenty of complexes and have never had such a awful experience. I read the reviews just like you before I moved there and thought this would not happen to me. This was just one problem I found with the complex, there are pigeons in attic and appliances never work properly and if they break they just get rigged.I have never written a review before But I would feel stupid if I didn't write one here.Managers Melanie, Vikki and Misty are the ones I had problems with. Move here at your own risk.
