Ah to write about myself, not my favorite subjectâ?¦ I am so multi-faceted, it would seem that something will not come across in writing.

The basics: I was born in Michigan in 1967, and then moved around some through childhood, Michigan, Mississippi, and Arizona. I called AZ home for most of my childhood. In that time I have been to a few places, from Germany to Pakistan and some of the places in between.

I graduated high school in 1985 and shortly afterwards joined the AF. I got married in there somewhere, had a son and got out of the AF at the end of my tour. We got orders to Okinawa and moved there and lived in Okinawa for 10 years. In that time I had another son, went through a group of jobs working for the local economy (from teaching English to painting), learned to speak a little Japanese, then came back to America in 1999. I moved to AZ then, divorced and lived there for a bit, then got tired of the hustle and bustle and moved to TX. And thatâ??s where I am now.

A little more: I am a bit sarcastic, I love to read, I love to cook but find I have no time presently to really Create anything. I like Scrabble and Boggle, and other board games, but those two capture my attention readily. In a religious sense, I have my beliefs, but I think that they are very personal and not open for debate, on that same note, I am not one to preach or particularly like to be preached to. I do like the â??do unto othersâ?? rule.

I love learning new things and am constantly trying to better myself. I donâ??t have a college degree, but I have met some who have one and am not always duly impressed. I think that learning doesnâ??t necessarily need to come from a formal education.

I joined this site because I was â??taking some testsâ?? posted on a different site for something fun to do.

I was born in Okinawa, Japan.
Kinda far from here...
I moved to the states when I was almost ten.
I'm still not sure if it was worth it to stay or not...
I wouldn't be who I am today if I went back,
but is that really a good thing?
It was best for my family to stay,
so I can live with what happened in the past.
I do miss it though...

I don't believe in "promises."
Why can't someone just say "I will" and let that be enough?
Granted that's not the ONLY reason.
I still believe in honesty...
Which is my downfall.
I've never been able to explain my thoughts on promises fully.

I love music, it makes me happy.

I just don't care for rap.
Rock is more my thing.
The hard stuff when I'm by myself.
So I don't scare anyone lol.

I like to write, even though I suck at it.
I don't really mind it all that much,
mostly because no one gets to read it anyway. =P
So don't ask!

I'm an introvert, and there's a lot to it. But in a nut shell:
I'm quiet by nature and don't like parties and such. I'm very "to myself" with my feelings and stuff and junk.
But that doesn't mean I won't go out and be stupid. I do PLENTY of that. Only, with my close friends. It's just complicated and I don't feel like explaining it right now.

That makes me:
I'm EXTREMELY shy,
at least until you get to know me.
I have a huge bubble,
I get made funn of all the time because of it. >.>
It's not like I can help it,
it's just how I am.

Sometimes I feel as if I'm the easiest person to make mad.
But it takes forever to get me there.
I have a short fuse when I can't let my anger out.
I don't know, it's complicated.

I have yet to find something I'm truely afraid of.
I don't feel a lot of pain either,
which makes me very durable.
So, naturally...
I have quite a few scars.

Just about everything I do is a reflex.

I love the outdoors. I live 16 miles from town, and sometimes thats too close. I enjoy country music especially if its got a fiddle in the band,I also enjoy the older Rock to. I have been learning how to play the fiddle for the last 3yrs. I have a friend that plays pro fiddle that I have been learning from. He plays in local bands in this area. I also like almost all sports, traveling, watch a good movie,or cook a good steak on the grill, or have B.B.Q's and invite friends over. I believe that we were put on this earth to enjoy it, not to destroy it. Life is not forever.... I am interested in meeting a nice lady with a good sence of humor, that is happy and fun to be around. I kinda like the shorter women, but not always the case, they just seem to be more active. I would like to meet someone that is secure, honest,and happy. Hi, I came here to meet you. I am a retired Marine Engineer, have been around the world on numerous occasions; a motorcycle rider who likes to explore this world we live in. I drive an old pickup truck and ride bikes most of the time. My children are grown and have their own lives; my son is a college senior, and my daughter is the mother of three. A native Californian, I prefer the desert to the forest, and rugged terrain to gentle rolling hills; growing up in Oklahoma, I became self reliant, and a country boy at heart. I will admit to being more than a little accepting of others, but there are some things that I won't tolerate. I am a political junkie, and follow both national and state politics. I will admit to being remiss about following our state legislature, because I wish a pox on both of their houses. I am a "Freedom First" advocate, and a staunch believer in the Bill of Rights. I do not believe that the current crop of politicians can read, or if they can, can comprehend the meaning of the 2nd Amendment. I do not believe that the government has the right to intrude into a person's life in matters that do no harm to others (almost a Libertarian). Was brought up to respect the views of others, even if they are anathema to me. I am soft spoken, but with conviction. I refuse to raise my voice to make a point, a gentleman can make a point without that necessity. Still open doors for others, stand aside for those in an immense hurry, and try never to get in a hurry. I try to be courteous, or, at least, civil to everybody. I do know the value of NO. This is getting to be an "I-sore." That being said, it shall end here.

Well I am from South Padre Island, Texas. My summer job consists of pulling banana boats during the day and then at night I work the bungee jump right across the street from Louieâ??s backyard (for those who know the island.) I have been told that I make people laugh a lot and that I'm one of those people that one could talk to for hours and not get board. I am so not shy and I love to try new thing. I am definitely so no predigest or judgmental by the least. I believe that everyone is here for a reason for what reason thatâ??s to say. I am one of those people who definitely seeâ??s the glass half full and then tries to figure out a way to fill it the rest of the way. But for now summer is over and I came here to Live Oak,Tx. to visit family and I thank I am going to stay so for the ones reading this I see so much and so many things to do here but know one to do them with. Looking for neat people to hang with.

I'm a 34 year old artist who lives in the loft of a 125 yr old building in the TX Hill Country. I spend my days painting, sculpting, designing homes, & building websites. I spend my (social) evenings at the local wine bar, honky-tonk or any of the 4 dancehalls in driving distance. In my town of 2000, I'm part of the alternative crowd of writers, wine makers, sculptors, & musicians. Although I've lived in Houston, London, & San Antonio, my soul often guides me back to small towns - although my preferences in food, music & conversation lean toward an urban flavor.

Although my tastes are typically modern and contemporary, I have a deep affection for things that are "quality old school". Old music, old tv, old movies, old cars - - the latest, greatest and coolest often pass me by. For the most part, I'm politically liberal and financially conservative. Quality, simplicity, & beauty seem to appeal to me across the board.

There are areas of my life where I need control, and there are others where I desperately need the guidance and perspective of another whose opinions I respect. When left to my own devices, I slow down and become more introverted - I need someone who is willing to challenge me and break me out of my own box.

Ultimately I hope to find someone who is intelligent, honest, warm & inspiring (those aren't in any particular order). Desire to travel and a willingness to explore all things are critical characteristics for me. Although I consider myself a creative person, in others I often find open-mindedness to be as attractive as creativity.

I live 3 hrs drive from my family who mean the world to me - - but 3 hours is a pretty good distance. I see them about 8 times a year.

I've learned over the years that my tastes are quite flexible, and I often find joy and beauty where I never would have expected, so I dare not limit all the wonderful possibilities waiting around the next corner!

Hello! My cousin Carlo told me about this site, so I am here. I moved from Grants NM here. I don't know why really. My name is up, so you know who you are talking to.
